SANGHAR, March 29: Parents of a couple strangled to death on March 15 in Doran Brohi village near Shahdadpur, rejected the claim of the accused who had surrendered after the double murder, and demanded police should reinvestigate the case.
Accused Ismail Brohi, cousin of the slain girl, had confessed to police that he had strangled to death both Ms Malak Naz, who was married, and Roshan Din Brohi, when he saw them in an objectionable condition.
Late Malak Naz’s father, Pir Bux Brohi and Roshan Din’s father Mouladad alleged the murders were predetermined and the motive was to grab a piece of land. They argued one person could not strangulate two at a time, as the accused had claimed and said more than eight persons had committed the crime. Mouladad claimed the murderers had assembled in Eid Mohammad Brohi village to finalize their plan before they executed it.
SP investigation Gul Hassan Larik have called for the files of the case, while Shahdadpur police have arrested Raza Mohammad Brohi, the slain girl’s husband. Amir Bux, Allahdad, Mohammad Bux were already under arrest besides Ismail who had surrendered to police.
