HYDERABAD, March 29: The Sindh Paramedical Staff Welfare Association (SPSWA) announced on Wednesday that it would launch a protest movement throughout the province on April 7, against delay in approval of the service structure for paramedics.

A meeting of the association’s central executive committee took the decision expressing anguish over undue delay in approval of the service structure.

The association would observe the World Health Day on April 7, as a black day in all government hospitals. SPSWA’s local chapter would hold protest demonstrations outside local press clubs and the central and district office-bearers would stage hunger strikes unto death outside the Karachi Press Club from April 10, the meeting said.

The association warned if the government tried to create any hurdles in holding peaceful protest, employees would declare a complete lockout in all government hospitals.
