ISLAMABAD: The capital police remain committed to preserving law and order within the federal capital and ensuring foolproof security arrangements in the Diplomatic Enclave.

According to the PRO for the police, following directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, officers stationed in the Diplomatic Enclave are diligently executing their responsibilities and verifying the particulars of individuals accessing the high security zone and meticulously documenting vehicle information to fortify the security of the high security zone.

The Diplomatic Enclave encompasses pivotal government and private establishments, diplomatic missions, and other vital assets, necessitating unwavering focus on security. Government personnel entering the Diplomatic Enclave are now mandated to display their departmental identification cards.

Additionally, individuals with private business within the high security zone are urged to carry their requisite documentation and cooperate with the on-duty personnel.

SSP Security Division has directed the officers on duty to uphold the highest standards of diligence and professionalism, cultivating a positive rapport with citizens. Citizens are also urged to promptly report any perceived suspicious activity or individuals to the police helpline.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police have made comprehensive security arrangements for Independence Day. In this regard, a flag march is being conducted in various areas of the city to enhance security. Strict vigilance would be maintained to ensure law and order in the city.

The purpose of the flag march held by the Islamabad police and other law enforcement departments, beginning and concluding at the Pakistan Sports Complex after passing through various areas of the capital, is to maintain peace and tranquility.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza emphasised that the Islamabad police were taking all possible steps to maintain peace in the city, adding that all forces were ready to tackle any untoward incident. Security has been tightened at all entry and exit points while the Dolphin Squad is patrolling different areas of the city. All senior police officers have been directed to remain in their relevant areas and oversee security operations.
