PFF raises daily allowance
LAHORE, March 27: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has made an increase in daily allowance of players and decided to pay in foreign currency for tours abroad.
A spokesman of the PFF said that the decision was taken by the PFF president, Faisal Saleh Hayat, before the Pakistan team’s departure to Bangladesh on Tuesday to participate in the first AFC Challenge Cup which starts on Saturday.
A player will now receive US$25 per day instead of $20 while officials will continue to receive $25 per day.
The president said that when he took over charge of the PFF, the allowance was Rs100 per day.
Last year, the PFF had given central contracts to nine players after dividing them into two categories.
A player in Grade-I category receives Rs5,000 per month while B-Grade Rs4,000.
The PFF president also promised promotion for players in their respective departments.
“I have talked to the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and we hope the players will be promoted by their departments,” he said.
