LAHORE, March 25: Officials of the four Test cricket playing countries of South Asia are to meet in New Delhi on April 5 to finalize a comprehensive bid for the 2011 World Cup.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh had submitted a bid for the event but it was rejected by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday with instructions to submit new comprehensive bid by April 21.

Australia and New Zealand had already submitted a joint bid for the event and are the only rivals of the South Asian countries.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director Cricket Operations Salim Altaf will attend the meeting.

To give final shapes to the bid the head of the four cricket boards will again meet in New Delhi on April 12.
