Ajoka students stage play at PILAC

LAHORE: Ajoka Institute’s ‘Art of Acting’ course students amazed the audience at the Punjab Institute of Language Art & Culture (PILAC) with a slick performance of a new play ‘Joggers to Acchay Hotay Hain”.

This was the actors’ first stage appearance in a play, written by Adeel Haroon, a student of Ajoka’s writing class.

The play revolved around a young girl,Yasmine, who doesn’t want an arranged marriage and in the end, elopes with a chef, for his cooking skills. The play was directed by Nirvaan Nadeem and his assistant Samavia Ebrahim.

The cast included Shokat Manzoor, Ahsan Zia, Zahra Zubair, Daud Pirzada, Jawad Shah

Minahil, Arslan Javed, Waqar Ali, Fahad Javed, Hoorain Zubia and Keyyan Nasir.

After the performance, certificates were distributed to the successful students of the class.
