FAISALABAD, March 22: Scores of PPP women workers staged a protest demonstration against the government over the rapid increase in prices of essential articles here on Wednesday. The women protesters, led by MPA Noorunnisa Malik, marched through various city roads by carrying banners and placard inscribed with slogans against the government.

They said that a record increase had been made in the prices of all kitchen articles during the last few years.

Protesting women also staged a sit-in in front of the local Press Club. Some of the children and women broke cooking pans in protest.
