BAHAWALPUR, March 15: Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Nagibullah Malik on Wednesday stressed the need for effective participation of women for achieving the objective of gender justice.
Presiding over a meeting of the steering committee of “Masalahati Anjuman” project launched by Punjab government in collaboration with the UNDP in the union councils of two selected districts of Bahawalpur and Attock, Mr Malik said the members of these bodies would be imparted proper training during the current year so that they could discharge their duties effectively.
He said the members should also motivate the public to approach Masalahti committees for settlement of their petty disputes at UC level.
He said after success of the pilot project, the programme would also be launched in other districts of the province.
The meeting was participated by Punjab programme manager Khalid Beg and others.
DPO: DPO Arif Nawaz has warned all private security agencies of their poor performance.
Presiding over a joint meeting of representatives of private security agencies and banks here on Wednesday he said that the agencies showing poor performance would have to face cancellation of licences.
