‘Clinic-on-Wheels’ project launched

LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the ‘Clinic-On-Wheels’ project at the Lahore Fort Alamgiri Gate. She inspected the project, assessed the provision of medical treatment and facilities, and interacted with staff members.

She examined an ultrasound van and an ambulance designated for women in rural areas.

To further enhance healthcare accessibility, she allocated an additional 100 Rural Ambulance Services (1034) for rural regions.

Furthermore, she took a brief journey by riding on the ‘Clinic-On-Wheels’ van.

Also, the Punjab government launched a pilot project to provide satellite internet in schools, starting at DPS Model Town, Lahore. An MoU was signed between a UAE firm and the Punjab Education Department to execute this project. Under the initial phase, satellite internet will be installed in 5,000 schools across the province.
