DADU, March 10: A large number of teachers observed a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Friday to protest against non-payment of their salary for 14 months.

Talking to newsmen at the hunger strike camp, Sabir Ahmed Zaunr and Yasin Ali Panhwar said that they had reopened the schools which were lying closed for a long time in the district but officials of the education department were not paying them salaries from the school management committee’s funds.
