Five held with kite string

OKARA, March 8: Police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested five men and seized a large quantity of banned kite-flying string, machinery and cash from their possession. On a tip-off, a police party, led by A-Division SHO Malik Tanvir Ahmad, raided a house near the city DSP office and arrested Arif Manzoor, Yasir, Yasin, Shahid and Khurram for preparing chemical string. The police recovered the banned string, manufacturing apparatus worth Rs10 million and Rs90,000 cash from their possession.

Police have registered a case under Section 24 of the Kite-Flying Act 2006.
