Info minister Atta Tarar blasts PTI for trying to ‘sabotage’ Pakistan’s GSP+ status
In his first press conference as the information minister, Attaullah Tarar said “some elements” were attempting to “cause loss to the state” — referring to the PTI’s letter to the IMF.
“If a few elements think that for our political interests, we will damage this country, then it is their wishful thinking,” he said while speaking to the media in Islamabad.
“A very vile act was done by PTI by writing to the IMF and an online petition in which they are asking to revoke Pakistan’s GSP+ status as ‘Imran Khan is not being provided with facilities in jail’,” Tarar added.
