PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar has said that the letter written on the behalf of Imran Khan to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was “another attempt to derail Pakistan’s democracy and economy”,
Speaking outside Parliament House, he pointed out that previously Imran had employed a strict anti-IMF stance, even going as far as saying he would rather “kill himself” than approach the IMF.
He also asked on what grounds and expertise could the IMF audit the elections, adding that Imran’s “personal interests take precedence over national interest”.
Tarar said that this attempt to derail Pakistan’s democracy and destroy the economy would be unsuccessful as they will “make life better for the common man by managing the economy”.
