Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan has said today’s session will resume despite members of the Sunni Ittehad Council walking out earlier in protest.

Minutes after the session began, 103 members of the SIC walked out in protest owing to SIC-nominee for chief minister Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan not being allowed to speak.

Speaker Khan had denied Aftab permission to speak.
