Murad Ali Shah, who is the PPP’s candidate for Sindh chief minister, sang the praises of outgoing Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani.
Speaking after the election of both the new speaker and deputy speaker, Murad said, “He was arrested, put in jail, but even then he fulfilled his responsibilities. Nowhere else will you find this, only PPP can do this, fulfilling their responsibilities.”
Shah also pointed out that Durrani had the “unique distinction” of being speaker of the house just as his father had been. He also expressed the hope that he too might have this position one day, similar to his father.
