The process for the election of the Sindh Assembly deputy speaker will begin after a 10-minute prayer break.

In an announcement, Speaker Owais Qadir Shah said two people had submitted their nominations for the position and the poll would be held by secret ballot. Members would be called to vote in an alphabetical order.

PPP has fielded Anthony Naveed as candidate for deputy speaker while the MQM-P has fielded Advocate Rashid Khan.
