The Grand Democratic Alliance has said that several of its workers were arrested by the Karachi police at various points across the city as they protested against alleged poll rigging.

GDA Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim said that according to reports he was receiving, workers of his party, the JUI-F, the PTI and the Jamaat-i-Islami were taken into custody at Sharea Faisal, Super Highway, Fountain Chowk, Saddar area, Lalu Khet and other areas.

He criticised the caretaker provincial government for the police actions.
