LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), March 3: Shopkeepers in the border town of Torkham on Thursday foiled a Wapda move to instal electricity meters in their shops.
The plan to instal meters was postponed till Sunday after the intervention of local elders and officials of the political administration.
The Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Corporation announced the plan to instal power meters in markets in the seven tribal agencies. But shopkeepers are resisting the move.—Correspondent
