SHIKARPUR, Feb 27: A police constable, a man were killed and another injured in two road accidents on Monday. Constable Rahimdad Narejo of the New Foujdari police was killed when a truck hit him near Sindh Wah on the Shikarpur-Sukkur road.

The deceased was on duty at the Sindh Wah police picket.

He cautioned the truck driver to stop but was run over by the truck.

Sher Mohammad Pahore was killed and his son Yar Mohammad was injured in an accident involving a wagon on the Kandhkot-Shikarpur road.

The deceased and his son were going from their village to Khanpur town on a motorcycle.

PROTEST: Activists of the Jamaat-i-Islami and its affiliated organizations staged a demonstration against detention of JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed and other MMA leaders and workers here on Monday.

Maulana Sadaruddin Mahar, Abdul Qadir Abro advocate, Maulana Abdul Qayoom Memon and Imam Bux Asim participated in the demonstration. —BoC
