Lebanese await Nasrallah’s speech in wake of Beirut strike

Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan, reporting from the site of the Beirut strike that killed Saleh al-Arouri, says there is “lots of anger” over the attack.

“This is a residential area – cafes, shops, homes,” said Khan, standing across from the building where al-Arouri and six other Hamas members were killed in a drone attack. “It would have been a very frightening moment when the strike actually hit.”

Khan said that Hezbollah, which is “effectively headquartered” in the area, sees the strike as a downright “attack on Lebanese sovereignty.”

“All eyes will be on a speech to be given this evening by [Hezbollah leader] Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,” said Khan.
