‘Israel has not taken responsibility’ for al-Arouri killing, says Israeli diplomat
Mark Regev, senior adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, did not confirm or deny responsibility for the killing of Saleh al-Arouri, but noted Israel has a long history of assassinating “terrorists” on foreign soil, Al Jazeera reports.
“You can speculate if you like but let’s be clear: Israel has not taken responsibility. Israel in the past has dealt with terrorists in foreign countries,” he told US broadcaster MSNBC.
“Commanders involved in killing Israeli civilians and anyone involved in the October 7 massacre is a legitimate target.”
