Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees, has said: “In the past three months, international humanitarian law has been violated way too many times.”

He said at least 300 Palestinians have been killed and 1,000 injured since Oct 7 while seeking protection under the UN flag in Gaza shelters.
