WHO chief deplores ‘unconscionable’ attacks on Gaza’s Al-Amal Hospital

The World Health Organisation chief has deplored Israeli strikes on the Al-Amal hospital in Gaza’s Khan Younis run by the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

In a post on X, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the strikes “severely damaged” the PRCS training centre located within the hospital complex.

“Today’s bombardments are unconscionable,” he added.

“If the conditions for a cease-fire in hostilities have not been met by now, I do not know what it will take,” the WHO chief said.
