KARACHI, Feb 24: Taking notice of public complaints, the Sindh Chief Secretary, Fazlur Rehman, has directed the civic authorities concerned to take steps for improving water, sewerage and sanitation system in Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas of Karachi.

He referred to the junction of Rashid Minhas Road and Shabbir Ahmed Usmani Road in Block-5, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, opposite Al-Nisa Hall, where owing to seepage of water supply line, a deep crater has developed, which remains filled with water and people often wash their vehicles. He warned that the action would be taken against the officials for their slackness.
