Israel broadcasts ‘threatening messages’ in radio hack
The Palestine Public Broadcasting Corporation has strongly condemned Israel’s reported hacking of the Voice of Palestine Radio station, Al Jazeera reports.
Israel broadcast “threatening messages directed at the people of Gaza” on the station’s 100.1 FM frequency, the broadcasting authority said in a statement.
The authority described the piracy as “a new crime against Palestinian media”, which it said would “only increase our insistence on exposing the occupation’s crimes to the whole world until it is held accountable”.
It also said that it would pursue charges against the Israeli army for the reported hacking.
