ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party’s Peshawar president Abidullah Yousufzai on Saturday announced joining the Pakistan Peoples Party.

He announced the decision after meeting former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad, according to a press release.

On the occasion, Mr Yousufzai lauded Mr Zardari for giving ‘identity’ to the Pakhtun people.

Mr Zardari welcomed Mr Yousafzai’s decision to join PPP. Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, Shuja Khan and Ziaullah Afridi were also present during the meeting.
