HYDERABAD, Feb 23: Mehran Hockey Club won the Hyderabad district Inter-club hockey championship defeating Qamar XI 3-1 in final at the Board Stadium on Thursday.

Qamar Waheed of Mehran Hockey Club scored first in the first half to bring the opponents under pressure. The half time score was 1-0.

At the outset of the second half, Qamar XI made inroads to score a goal, in the 40th minute, Mohammad Shahid on a good pass from Awaisuddin scored to level it 1-1.

Mehran struck through Saleem Junior 51st minute of the second half.

Shortly afterwards another goal was scored by Adnan Hamid of Mehran to complete the scoring.
