According to Israeli media, missiles and drones have been shot down in the area, according to Israeli media, Al Jazeera reports.

Two missiles were reportedly downed over the port city of Acre, while explosions were heard in the suburbs of Haifa as air defences intercepted a drone entering Israeli airspace, according to Israel’s Channel 12.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.
