Lloyd Doggett, a Democratic representative in the US House of Representatives, has questioned US support for Israel on social media.

“US policy of begging Netanyahu to safeguard civilians while sending him weapons and abstaining on even the most modest UN resolution has failed,” Doggett said in a post on X.

Doggett made the comments in response to reports that Israel has been using “non-precision 2,000 [pound] bombs dropped in densely populated areas”.
