WHO chief reiterates need for immediate ceasefire in Gaza
World Health Organisation chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has reiterated the pressing need for a ceasefire, saying that the “devastating toll of the war so far cannot be ignored, including the loss of over 20,000 lives, predominantly women and children, and over 53,000 injuries.”
In a post on X, he also welcomes the UN Security Council resolution which addresses the need for urgent pauses and humanitarian corridors for aid.
