Dozens of people were injured in a massive explosion that took place overnight in the al-Geneina district, on the eastern side of Rafah, Al Jazeera reports.

Al Jazeera’s Gaza correspondent Hani Mahmoud said residential homes were targeted and completely destroyed. Two people were reportedly killed. A big number of injured have been brought to the Kuwait Hospital.

Attacks also took place in Jabalia (northern Gaza) and Khan Younis,he added.
