UN relief chief welcomes opening of Gaza crossing but stresses ‘end to war’ needed the most
UN relief chief Martin Griffiths has welcomed Israel’s announcement of opening the Kerem Shalom border crossing to allow direct aid into Gaza.
In a post on X, he said, “The fast implementation of this agreement will increase the flow of aid.”
He went on to emphasise that “what the people in Gaza need most is an end to this war”.
