Fewer than a third of hospitals in Gaza still functioning: aid agency
Medical Aid for Palestinians says fewer than a third of hospitals are still functioning in Gaza, and the healthcare system in the enclave is being systematically dismantled.
“The hospitals that are functioning are working well beyond capacity,” it wrote on X.
It stated that the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza was raided by the Israeli military for the third consecutive time yesterday.
“The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 2,500 displaced people sheltering inside were forced to leave, and the remaining injured people and medical staff were evacuated,” the aid agency said, adding that medical staff was prevented from providing aid to premature babies and injured persons.
