Pakistan’s representative to the United Nations Munir Akram has said that Palestine “is a part of Pakistan’s DNA”.

He made the remarks after Palestinian envoy to the UN Riyad Mansour praised him for arguing against an Austrian amendment to the UN resolution on Gaza.

Calling Akram a “very astute diplomat”, Mansour said he “shredded to pieces those who tried to introduce an amendment that was not fair”.
