Speaking at the start of a European Union summit in Brussels, Leo Varadkar has said that while the bloc should condemn “terrorism perpetrated by Hamas”, it should also call for justice for Palestinians, Al Jazeera reports.

“We’ve lost credibility at the Global South, which actually is most of the world, because of what is perceived to be double standards. And there’s some truth in that, quite frankly,” Varadkar said.
