At least 27 people have been reportedly killed in strikes overnight on two residential buildings in southern Gaza, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reports, citing sources from Rafah.

Al Jazeera video footage captured the extent of the destruction and efforts by local people to rescue survivors from the rubble.
