Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau has said he talked to his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu about “Canada’s support for the right of Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security”.

Trudeau “underscored Israel’s right to defend itself in accordance with international law, including international humanitarian law, and unequivocally condemned Hamas”, a statement from his office said.
