Renowned humanitarian and rights organisations have said that a “significant change in approach from the United States government is needed today to pull Gaza back from this abyss” of Israeli bombardment.

In an opinion piece in The New York Times, the heads of Save the Children, Oxfam, Norwegian Refugee Council, Mercy Corps, Care USA and Refugees International reiterated their call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
