The situation in Gaza serves as a stark reminder of the need to put people first, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abshir Omar Jama said in a speech at the Doha Forum, Al Jazeera reports.

The Somali official emphasised the importance of involving the “international community to address the underlying causes of suppressed advocacy for the protection and dignity of the civilian population, including children and vulnerable groups who are disproportionately affected”.
