MQM activist shot dead

KARACHI, Feb 20: An activist of the Muttahida Quami Movement was shot dead in North Karachi late on Monday night. Ashfaq Ahmed, 32, a worker of the Muttahida Quami Movement in Qasba Colony, was shot at and seriously wounded when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him near Ali Pride in Sector 16-A, North Karachi. He was taken to a private hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The body was later shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
