Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the US provided Israel with “important ammunition” for a continuation of Gaza’s bombardment, Al Jazeera reports.

At the beginning of a cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, Netanyahu thanked US President Joe Biden for the military aid and the US veto in the UN Security Council of a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Netanyahu did not specify which arms deliveries he was referring to.
