Israeli strikes on Birzeit University in the West Bank have destroyed thousands of historical documents that served as the “central archive of Gaza municipality”, the university said in a post on X.

The university said the Israeli occupation is “deliberately razing all life forms; erasing the city and its history.”

“It is worth noting that the archive holds documents more than a hundred years old.”
