Israeli authorities have warned displaced people in shelters and schools located in the Bani Suhaila roundabout and four of their designated “blocks” — 50, 51, 52 and 219 — to “evacuate immediately”, Al Jazeera reports.

COGAT, a branch of Israel’s defence ministry, asked residents to move along al-Quds Street to the shelters in the west of Khan Younis and the Nasser Hospital area.

It added that the Israeli army is operating “with extreme force” against Hamas.
