Turkish President Erdogan stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Netanyahu is gambling with the entire region’s future for his own political calculations”, Al Jazeera reports.

He said that the killing of women and children constitutes a war crime and Israel must be penalised.

Turkiye hopes for a permanent ceasefire and an independent Palestinian sovereign state to be established on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, Erdogan said at the GCC summit in Doha. “Turkiye is prepared to act as a guarantor state,” he said.
