While the Israeli military has termed a tiny coastal area in Gaza named Al-Mawasi as a “designated humanitarian zone”, Sky News describes it as a “desolate wasteland of sand dunes next to the Mediterranean Sea”.

It adds: “There is no aid in Al-Mawasi. There are no aid agency tents, there are no food kitchens, there is no help here.”
