Unicef spokesperson James Elder has said Israeli attacks in south Gaza, where residents are being told to move, are “every bit as vicious as what the north endured”.

“Somehow, it’s getting worse for children and mothers,” he wrote on X, urging people to raise their voices in “stopping this war on children”.
