“Deliveries of essential supplies to Gaza must urgently resume and be restored,” said WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus after the temporary pause in fighting expired.

He highlighted that civilians in Gaza need “protection, food, water, shelter, sanitation, medicines, and more”.

He added in a post on X, “There must be a cessation of violence, the release of remaining hostages, and an end to the siege.”
