Author of the critically acclaimed book Midnight’s Borders: A People’s History of Modern India and founder of The Polis Project, Suchitra Vijayan, says she has rejected an invitation to an event in Germany.

“As a writer, woman of colour, and grandchild of a formerly colonised, I can’t, in good faith, be a part of the conversation that does not acknowledge what is happening in Palestine,” her email stated.
