Juliette Touma, the director of communications for the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees(UNRWA), has said, “We hope for this temporary pause to continue — for aid and fuel to continue to come in.”

Speaking to CNN, she emphasised people in Gaza Strip desperately needed the continuation of aid delivery and for this humanitarian pause to “materialise into something much more long-term, like a humanitarian ceasefire”.
