Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has thanked Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani for his work in mediating a truce for Gaza and the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel, Reuters reports.

“I look forward to more cooperation that can help meet the aspirations of the Palestinian people and to establish a comprehensive peace in the region,” Sisi said on social media.
